Welcome
Welcome
Dear Guests, Here at Turkish Airlines we have a clear goal: to be one of the world’s five-star airlines. We are going from strength to strength and moving resolutely forward toward that goal, which we believe with all our hearts to be extremely important. During that process, we have successfully taken another very important step. Leaving Europe’s strongest airlines behind in the final, we won the awards for Best Airline in Europe, Best Airline in Southern Europe and Best Premium Economy Class Seat in the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2012, an assessment in which more than 18 million air travelers from 100 different nationalities participated. We pursued our ambition by raising our position on the World’s Best 10 Airlines list two more notches. Receiving awards in these areas for two consecutive years is a very significant development that shows the sustainability of our success and that our pace is continuing. That success is no coincidence. These awards are not distinctions easily earned. They are the result of our vision, in which we believe with all our hearts, of our organizational structure, which rests on a foundation of love, and of our determination to honor you, our valuable passengers, at the highest level and with the highest quality service. Even more importantly, they are a monument to the favor and appreciation shown by our millions of passengers from around the world. These awards are as much yours as ours. I would like to thank you once again and to express my gratitude on behalf of the Turkish Airlines family. Dear Guests, We continue to expand our short-haul flight network. With our routes to Mogadishu, Novosibirsk, Bremen, Kigali, Bilbao, Leipzig, Yanbu, Taif, Ulan Bator, Abidjan, Aalborg, Billund, Edinburgh, Iğdır, Osh and Ganja, all opened since the beginning of the year, as well as the routes to Nouakchott, Isfahan, Kinshasa, Djibouti, Kermanshah, Sabha, Doula, Yaoundé, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Kilimanjaro, Mombasa, Malé, Niamey, and Ouagadougou that we plan to open in the period ahead, Turkish Airlines will have created the majority of the short-haul flight destinations we have targeted. Parallel with that, our long-haul flight network is also being further expanded and strengthened every day as part of our mission to be able to transport you around the world as quickly and effectively as possible with the highest quality service. It gives us great pride to wave our Turkish flag all over the world. The Istanbul Airshow Airex Fair is being held on the Istanbul Ataturk Airport General Aviation Apron September 6 to 9. We invite to this fair all professionals and aviation enthusiasts who are interested in the latest developments in the world of aviation. On this occasion, I would like to wish you a blessed Ramadan Holiday, thank you for choosing Turkish Airlines and wish you a pleasant flight. Sincerely yours, Temel Kotil, Ph.D. CEO
