Turkish Airlines was deemed worthy of a silver award for Best Internal Recognition/Motivational Event in this year’s ninth annual Stevie Awards, one of the business world’s most prestigious. The award honors a plane painting project undertaken at the Turkish Technic hangar on March 15. In a gesture of appreciation to its employees, who are the real owners of its success in recent years, Turkish Airlines decorated one Boeing 737-800 in its fleet with some 17,000 thousand of their photographs. The Stevie International Business Awards, for which applications this year totaled 3,200, will be presented to their recipients at a ceremony to be held in the South Korean capital of Seoul on October 15.
