Mozart on the Bosphorus
Boğaziçi (Bosphorus) University’s Wednesday evening Classical Music Concerts are entering their fifth year. The theme of this year’s concert series, with principal sponsor Akbank and transportation sponsor Turkish Airlines, is ‘Mozart Still on the Bosphorus!’. The November concerts start with a group from Belgium, La Cetra d’Orfeo, on 1 November, to be followed by acclaimed Turkish pianist Idil Biret, 8 November; English soprano Emma Kirby, one of the greatest singers of art songs of our time, 15 November; the brilliant Austrian pianist Gottlieb Wallisch with the Hugo Wolf Quartet, 22 November; and İzmir Opera soloist Birgül Su Ariç and the Aegean String Quintet, 29 November. All concerts are in the university’s Albert Hall.
