For carriages between 01 December 2009 and 30 April 2013 excess baggage charges to be applied per kg. and per item is presented in the appendix: Thus:
A) CARRIYING EXCESS BAGGAGE WITH WEIGHT-CONCEPT
A.1. EXCESS BAGGAGE CHARGES; TO TURKEY/FROM TURKEY
Below mentioned excess baggage charges are applicable between Turkey and Turkish Airlines’ international lines at table-1/A, to Turkey / from Turkey

A.2.1. For beyond Turkey journeys, in case a stopover is made
Up to Turkey, sector excess baggage charge is collected. If a stopover is made in Turkey and a new check in is made, the excess baggage charge for the pertaining sector is collected.

Exceptions:
For excess baggage carriages with the Weight Concept where a secondary airline other than TK is involved if the through check in is made by TK, levels identified between Zone-5 (Table 1) will be applicable disregarding the origin region and destination point.
If the through check in is realized by an airline other than TK, the applications of the airline performing the check-in will be applicable
B) IN THE EVENT OF EXCESS BAGGAGE CARRIAGE WITH PIECE CONCEPT
B.1. CARRIAGES PERFORMED BY TK AND SECONDARY AIRLINES WITH ORIGIN /DESTINATIONS USA/SOUTH AMERICA/CANADA / NIGERIA/GHANA/SENEGAL/ COTE D IVOIRE
Excess baggage prices between Turkey/beyond Turkey points and USA/Brasil/Canada/Nigeria/Ghana/Senegal/Cote D Ivoire are calculated based on the ‘piece concept’.
B.1.1. In case of no-stopover in Turkey for travels whose origin/destination is USA/Brasil / Canada / Nigeria/Ghana/Senegal/Cote D Ivore
If all carriages between Turkey and beyond Turkey points From NYC/CHI/SAO/YTO/WAS/LAX/LOS/ACC/DKR/ABJ and to NYC/CHI/SAO/YTO/WAS/LAX/LOS/ACC/DKR/ABJ are performed by TK and there is no stopover in Turkey, then Piece Zone-1 (USD based) prices at Table-2 are applicable. If the itineray is flown with TK along with a secondary airline and there is no stopover in Turkey then Piece Zone-2 (USD based) prices at Table-2 are applicable.

B.2. In case of a stopover in Turkey for flights whose origin/destination is USA/Brasil / Canada / Nigeria/Ghana/Senegal/Cote D Ivoire
For itineraries between USA/Brasil/Canada / Nigeria / Ghana /Senegal/Cote D Ivoire Turkey/beyond Turkey points if the journey took place with TK along with a secondary airline and there is a stopover in Turkey in addition to the prices indicated at Table-2, additional Usd charges (additional fee) are applied as stated in Table 3. Based on that for sectors up to Turkey additional unit baggage fee is charged and if there is another check-in at the stopover point in Turkey then to beyond Turkey/from beyond Turkey USD based excess baggage sector fees (add. Fee) as stated in Table-3 are collected additionaly. If the journey is continued at stopover points in domestic lines within Turkey then excess baggage calculations based on the piece concept will be continued. In that case, for every stopover at each domestic terminal 10 usd will be charged for each excess baggage. Even if the stopover exceeds 24 hours in Istanbul due to system connection additional fees are collected as stated at Table 3.

For excess baggage carrriages between Turkey/beyond Turkey and USA/Brasil/Canada / Nigeria / Ghana/Senegal/Cote D Ivoire USD prices at Table-2 and 3 are applicable. The USD prices for excess baggages at Table-2 and 3 are to be calculated based on the local applications within TROYA system with FZS entry based on the daily local currency unit.
Exceptions:
For baggage carriages with Piece Concept, passengers traveling at economy class to points where the free baggage limit is 23kg, will be charged 80 usd for each piece between 23-32kg.
For excess baggage carriages with Piece Concept where a secondary airline other than TK is involved and through check in is made, without considering the origin region and the destination point rates identified at Piece Zone-2 will be applicable. (Table-2).
