After beating Bayern Munich by a score of 2-0 on July 28th, FC Barcelona players boarded a Turkish Airlines B-777-300 decorated with photos of the Barcelona team players for a flight to Washington.
As a surprise for his birthday, player Pedro Rodriguez Ledesma was presented with a meter-tall cake which he shared with all onboard and with thanks to Turkish Airlines. The aircraft landed at Washington’s Dulles Airport at 03:10 am and the journey completed at 03:40 am as the team begins its US tour. Turkish Airlines is the title sponsor of Barcelona US Tour’11.
