• Tourist Attractions

  The monument of Tajikistan’s legendary creator Somoni, is at the center of Dushanbe. It is a tradition that newlyweds visit Somoni. Do not be surprised to see bride and groom when you g oto see the monument. Also, on important days and festivals, celebrations are made before this monument.
  
  There is National Museum of Antiquities of Tajikistan at the top of museums that you should visit. Exhibited pieces tell the details about country history. The K.Behzod National Museum, taken its name from country’s famous miniature artist Kamoliddin Behzod (lived in 15th-16th century),Fine Arts Museum and Gurminj Zavqibekou Musical Instruments Museum are other important places to be visited.   Tajikistan traditional kitchen starts with desserts such as “halwa”,after that soup, foods with meat and a traditional taste “plov” come. Plov is fried with pieces of sheet meat, turnip and rice in a big pan. Ravioli which is peculiar to country and their special food “ pirmeni” deserves to be tasted.
  
  Tea is the most common beverage. You can find and drink tea everywhere and it has a different taste.”Kefir” made from yoghurt is served at breakfasts. Kefir is a relatively dense beverage.
  
  You can find restaurants making foods which are belong to different cultures and kitchens such as European, Chinese, Georgian, Turkish cuisine in Dushanbe. Especially on Rudaki Street there are restaurants appealing to different delights and budgets.
