Turkish Airlines joined the Cargo 2000 Quality Management System as an associate member…
As one of the world’s fastest growing carriers Turkish Airlines became part of the Cargo 2000 Quality Management System which is an initiative of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) that includes approximately 50 airlines, remarkable number of forwarders, general handling agents and information technology providers.
Joining Cargo 2000 program on January 1, 2009, Turkish Airlines aims to improve of the quality of air cargo services by minimizing irregularities, enabling better time management during the transportation cycle and further enhancing the sustainable and reliable air cargo service throughout its network. Turkish Airlines will also have an opportunity to increase its customer satisfaction and global market share.
Turkish Airlines, in a statement issued today, said the Cargo 2000 Quality Management System brings together some of the major airlines and freight forwarders with the unique goal of executing a new quality management system for the worldwide air cargo industry. Their objective is simple: To carry out processes backed by industry-specific standards that are measurable and supported by data, thereby improving the efficiency of air cargo operations, enhancing customer service levels and reducing operational costs.
Becoming a certified member of the Cargo 2000 Quality Management System, Turkish Airlines will strengthen the whole chain of cargo and provide sustainable growth and increase its share in growing air cargo global market throughout the network by cooperating with its partners in the sector to attain predictable timely delivery service and accurate data tracking which will ensure customer satisfaction.
