Turkish Airlines’ Skylife: Everywhere at all Times
Turkish Airlines’ Skylife: Everywhere at all Times
No longer available only in-flight, Turkish Airlines’ Skylife magazine is yours now on land and sea as well.
Thanks to the new iPad app, you can access Skylife whenever and wherever you please. What’s more, it’s enriched with interactive content that lets you access more images of a concert or exhibition you’ve read about in Cityscope, or get a better idea of the places written up from the photo galleries on the travel pages. And that’s not all. In January Skylife Business was also added to the Turkish Airlines family of magazines that has been available on the iPad app since August, giving you iPad access to this magazine as well, which is distributed only in Business and Comfort Class.
You can read all the issues since 2010 in Skylife’s iPad archive. The January 2012 and subsequent issues of Skylife Business, which started publication with Infomag Yayıncılık, can be accessed as well, and plans include eventually developing a complete archive of all issues going back to the first.
Newsstand
Starting in January, the Skylife app was updated with the Newsstand feature, which allows you to subscribe to the magazines free of charge. When a new issue appears it is automatically downloaded to you so you can read it hot off the press.
Appearance
The iPad apps can take two forms. The first is catalog in appearance. Here, you can switch between the magazines by scrolling right and left through the covers, download a selected magazine, read and delete
Skylife ipad use on the rise
The Skylife iPad app was downloaded by 8,000 people in its first month. Now approaching a total of 20,000 downloads with an average of 1,500 a month, users of the Skylife iPad app are increasing by the day. A third of those who downloaded the app, which was updated with the Newstand feature in January, began using the new feature already in the first week.
