Traveling with special equipment
1. How much do I have to pay for carriage of my ski or golf equipment?
If you are carrying only one ski or golf set, no extra charge is required. For the second one please refer to ticket sales offices.
2. Do I have to pay for carriage of my wheelchair?
No, the carriage is free of charge.
3. I am traveling with a musical instrument, could I carry in cabin?
Yes. If the instrument fits cabin baggage definition, it won't be a problem to carry it as a carry-on bag. In case of exceeding the dimensions, the instrument is carried on an extra seat in passenger cabin. Reservation is required. Only contrabass can not be carried on Turkish Airlines flights due to dimension of the seat.
4. I need a dialysis machine, can I travel by Turkish Airlines?
Dialysis machine is not allowed on Turkish Airlines flights.
5. My baby needs an incubator during flight, is it possible?
Incubator is not allowed on Turkish Airlines flights.
6. May I Board the Aircraft With an Oxygen Tank?
Yes. It is possible to supply our passengers that travel seated or in patient beds with the amount of oxygen prescribed in their physician's reports during the course of the flight. Requests for oxygen tanks must be made at least 24 hours prior to the flights. For detailed information, please call +90 212 4440849.
7. May I Travel With my Respiratory Equipment?
Yes. Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC), respiratory equipment (respirator; ventilator), sleep apnea devices (CPAP) may be carried and used by the passengers within the cabin or in the cargo compartments. These devices must be produced in accordance with RTCA standards, must be FAA approved, must be EMI compliant and must be brands that are approved by our Alliance (Airsep lifestyle- Airsep Freestyle- Inogen One- Sequal Eclipse- Respironics Evergo- Delphi Medical Systems RS-00400-Invacare XP02).

8. What are the Rules and Regulations Regarding the Carriage of Passengers on Patient Beds?
Passengers traveling on patient beds may not board the aircraft without a physician's report and unattended. Attendants should be adults who possess the skills to tend to the requirements of the passenger during the flight. Our company does not provide an additional attendant for such passengers. A report prepared in both Turkish and English languages stating the type of illness they have and that there is no obstacle for them to travel by airplane is requested from ill passengers in order for them to board the aircraft. Other reports in languages apart from Turkish and English languages are not accepted unless they are certified by a Public Notary. The dates of the reports must not be older than 10 days. 9. Can Passengers on patient Beds be Carried in Business Class Cabin?
No. Passengers traveling on patient beds may only be carried in the economy cabin.
10. Does the Attendant of the Passenger Traveling on a Patient Bed Pay For the Flight?
Yes.
