in the “Freddie Awards” evaluation. Freddie Awards has been considered as the Oscar of the Airlines’ Frequent Flyer programs since 1988. We are happy to be granted two awards at a time in the most prestigious awards of our sector with the votes of the members.

British Midland Airways and Star Alliance Agree On Separation
BMI has agreed with Star Alliance to terminate its membership as of April 20th, 2012. You may continue earning status miles, having award tickets and benefiting from Star Alliance customer advantages on bmi flights until May 31st, 2012. Miles&Smiles flight awards issued prior to this date can be used as planned on bmi flights.We kindly would like to inform you that Miles&Smiles members may claim their missing flights until October 31st 2012. Please take into consideration that from this date onward retroclaim for bmi flights will not be possible.

Don’t let name unconformity damper your pleasure
Dear members,
It is necessary that the name associated with your Miles&Smiles membership matches the one on your flight ticket in order for you to be credited your miles in the most convenient manner.
To change the name associated with your membership please send a scanned copy of your ID alongside your request to milesandsmiles@thy.com or call Customer Services and Bookings (444 0 849).

Share your CIP privileges with fellow travelers
Elite and Elite Plus Card holders, already eligible to provide family members or one guest with Access to CIP lounges, will from now on able to accommodate their fellow travelers with the same amenities in exchange for 50 TL(tax included) or in exchange for 4.000 miles. Important Notice about Routes of the Week
Mileage accrual is not permitted from Economy, Business or Comfort Class tickets issued from Routes of the Week promotion which is valid between 01-31 august 2011 and planning to be applied every mothy to different cities.
Attention to the Business Class passengers and Elite, Elite Plus Card holders
Business Class passengers and Elite, Elite plus card holders and Star Alliance Gold holders travelling by Turkish Airlines may require fast track cards which are available from check-in desks of international flights. Fast track cards are enable the passengers to pass faster from passport control counter 30 in İstanbul Ataturk Airport arrival floor.
