History And Science In Tandem
AN EXHIBITION THAT CAME TO TURKEY LAST YEAR, 1001 INVENTIONS CAN BE SEEN AT WASHINGTON’S NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MUSEUM THROUGH FEBRUARY 3.
Named ‘Best Touring Exhibition of the Year’ at the Museum and Heritage Excellence Awards, 1001 Inventions features models built between the 7th and 17th centuries across a region stretching from Spain to China by Islamic scholars whose inventions have contributed to the history of science. Thanks to the interactive displays and products, visitors can grasp the basic laws of science in a fun way as well as learning about the shared legacy of East and West.
OPTIONS FOR FAMILIES
A series of family workshops are being organized in connection with National Geographic Museum’s 1001 Inventions exhibition. These workshops, where participants can have a fun and educational time making simple scientific devices, are free of charge but reservations are required.
