DAZZLING JEWELRY DESIGNED BY CENTRAL ASIA’S MASTER TURKMEN SILVERSMITHS IS AT THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN.
Culled from the Marshall and Marilyn R. Wolf Collection, the Turkmen Jewelry exhibition is bringing visitors the finest gems and jewelry of 19th and 20th century Turkmen culture. Carpets and costumes from the region have also been included in the exhibition to illustrate the similarity of some of the jewelry motifs to those used in carpets and fabrics. Through February 24.
