PressReader is an easy-to-use mobile app through which newspapers and magazines can be accessed on smartphones and tablets. You can access the content by following the link in the email sent to you before your flight.

Before your flight, you can download full editions of your preferred newspapers and magazines to your device and read them during your journey without an internet connection.

Content is offered in more than 60 languages, including Turkish, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, French, Arabic, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

With an internet connection, you can also instantly translate selected content into 18 languages.

Access to PressReader is provided from 24 hours before the flight until 72 hours after the flight’s departure time.

Can PressReader be accessed during the flight? Learn more

For uninterrupted reading during your flight, you can download your preferred newspapers and magazines to your mobile device before boarding. You can then access your downloaded content throughout the flight without an internet connection.

If Wi-Fi is available on your flight, you can also use the connection to access content on PressReader.

How can PressReader be accessed? Learn more

PressReader can be accessed in two ways when traveling on our flights:

1. Access through the email link

Before your flight, you can open the link in the email sent by PressReader on the device you want to use for reading. You can then follow the on-screen instructions to download the PressReader app and grant access.

2. Access through our website

Within the 24 hours before your flight, you can visit pressreader.turkishairlines.com and enter your flight details to access PressReader content.

Can PressReader be used on any device? Learn more

The PressReader app can be used on smartphones and tablets running iOS, Android, Windows, Amazon, BlackBerry and Mac operating systems. Content can also be accessed on laptops through the PressReader web platform.

From which app stores can PressReader be downloaded? Learn more

The PressReader app can be downloaded from the App Store, Google Play, Windows Store, Amazon Appstore and BlackBerry World.

How can content be unlocked if it appears locked or payment is requested to download it? Learn more

A Turkish Airlines welcome message should be displayed when PressReader is first opened. If this message is not displayed, complimentary access may not yet have been activated.

If access was initiated through the email link:

  • Before your flight, you can open the link in the email sent by PressReader on the device you want to use for reading.
  • If a lock icon is displayed on publications, you can check the coffee cup icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The icon should be green.
  • If the icon is not green, you can reopen the email link to activate your complimentary access.
  • If content remains locked after complimentary access has been activated, you can email care@pressreader.com for support.

How can newspapers and magazines be downloaded for reading during the flight? Learn more

You can select “Publications” to browse the PressReader catalog. You can use the search box to find your preferred publications or filter them by category or language.

Once you find the publication you want to download, you can tap the download icon.

You can select “Downloaded” at the bottom of the screen to view all your downloaded publications. You can download as much content as you like before your flight.

How long can downloaded content be kept? Learn more

Content downloaded to a smartphone or tablet during the complimentary access period can be kept indefinitely.

Why is text view not provided for some publications? Learn more

Text view is not provided for some magazines on PressReader. To ensure the best reading experience, some magazines may be designed in a way that does not allow their text to be displayed separately.

You can read these magazines in full-page view and zoom in using your fingers to view the pages more easily.
