The history of Mevlana Museum
The Seljuq Sultan of Rum, Alaeddin Keykubad, gifted the palace’s rose garden to Mevlana's father Sultanu'l-Ulema Baha ud-Din Walad. Built following Mevlâna’s passing, became an Islamic social complex with various additions such as Sama House and masjid. Serving as the center Mevlevi teaching until 1925, Mevlana Lodge was transformed into a museum later.
