General Conditions of the Stopover Service
• To benefit from the Stopover service, the layover between two flights must be at least 20 hours and cannot exceed 7 days.
• Passengers traveling on international flights connecting through Istanbul Airport (IST) can benefit from our Stopover service only once, either on the outbound or return leg of their journey.
• To use the Stopover Accommodation service, the outbound and return flights must be on the same reservation. Separate tickets for outbound and return flights are not accepted.
• For the Stopover benefit to be valid, the country of departure and the country of arrival must be the same.
• The Stopover accommodation service is only available for round-trip flights operated by Turkish Airlines. Passengers with ticket numbers starting with 235 can benefit from this service.
• Rules may vary from country to country; passengers benefiting from the Stopover Accommodation Service are subject to the rules of the country from which they first depart with Turkish Airlines.
• Passengers who use the Stopover service cannot benefit from the Touristanbul service on the same route.
• Passengers under the age of 18 traveling alone cannot benefit from the Stopover accommodation service.
Accommodation Conditions and Duration
• Economy Class passengers can stay for 1 night at a 4-star hotel free of charge.
• Business Class passengers can stay for 2 nights at a 5-star or boutique hotel free of charge.
*Special cases
Passengers whose travel point of origin is Australia, Canada, Chile, China Mainland (Shanghai, Xi’an, Guangzhou, Beijing), Taiwan – China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and the USA:
- Economy Class passengers can stay for 2 nights at a 4-star hotel free of charge.
- Business Class passengers can stay for 3 nights at a 5-star or boutique hotel free of charge.
• The complimentary accommodation period must be used consecutively and cannot be divided into separate dates.
Application and Approval Process
• Passengers are required to apply at least 72 hours prior to the departure of the flight for which they wish to use the Stopover service.
•Stopover hotel reservations can be processed online or through Turkish Airlines office of the first departure country after completing the ticketing process
• The passenger must meet all eligibility criteria from the moment the ticket is first issued.
Visa, Transportation, and Additional Costs
• It is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain all necessary documents for entry to and exit from Türkiye. Passengers may visit the e-visa page before their journey.
• Visa fees, local transportation, and travel expenses between the airport and the hotel are the responsibility of the passenger.
Hotel Voucher Usage and Changes
• Passengers without a hotel voucher cannot benefit from the free accommodation service.
• The hotel voucher and boarding pass must be presented at hotel check-in.
• Hotel vouchers are issued based on the current ticket number. If the ticket number changes, a new voucher must be requested.
• Once the hotel voucher is issued by the system, it cannot be changed according to personal requests.
• For additional accommodation, after receiving the hotel voucher, you can directly contact the hotel to take advantage of Turkish Airlines' special prices.
• Room arrangement requests are subject to hotel availability and operational conditions. After the hotel voucher is issued, passengers are required to contact the hotel directly for such requests.
• Hotel availability is limited to the room quotas and room types allocated to Turkish Airlines under the Stopover Program. Reservations are made subject to availability within these designated quotas. Turkish Airlines reserves the right to make changes to Stopover hotel reservations due to operational reasons.
Invalid Conditions
• Passengers with tickets issued in N and R fare classes cannot benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service.
• Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Stopover service in Istanbul.
