Qatar is the first Arab country to host the World Cup, an event highly anticipated by football fans around the globe. The final match of the tournament will be played on December 18, Qatar National Day.

Information for passengers traveling to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup

All visitors entering Qatar as of November 1, 2022 must obtain a Hayya Card upon entry into the country and be prepared to present it as a card or as a digital card obtained through the mobile application. Visitors will not be permitted to enter the country without the Hayya Card if they do not obtain a card until December 23, 2022. To apply for a Hayya Card, you must have a ticket for the FIFA 2022 World Cup or be entered into the system by a Hayya Card holder. Each Hayya Card holder may define three individuals to the system.

Although visitors traveling to Qatar as of December 2, 2022 are not required to have tickets for the World Cup, they must apply for a Hayya Card. Please click here to obtain a Hayya Card and access information regarding the Card.

Health requirements for entry to Qatar

- Guests visiting Qatar are not required to present a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test result.

- Etheraz, Qatar's official contact tracing application, is valid at health center entrances in the country as of November 1, 2022, although it is not required for entry into the country.

Places to visit in Qatar

The country’s most touristed cities are its capital, Doha, along with Dukhan and Al Wakrah. In addition to numerous entertainment centers and accommodation options, these cities offer natural and cultural sites.
