Due to New Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have implemented changes in our Turkish Airlines Lounge services.

Turkish Airlines Lounge Miles&Smiles at Istanbul Airport International Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge Domestic at Istanbul Airport Domestic Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge Domestic at Ankara Esenboga Airport Domestic Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport Domestic and International Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge at Antalya Airport Domestic and International Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge at Bodrum-Milas Airport Domestic Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge at Moscow Vnukovo Airport International Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge at Miami International Airport International Terminal, Turkish Airlines Lounge at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Turkish Airlines Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport International Terminal and Turkish Airlines Lounge Washington D.C. at Washington D.C. Dulles International Airport are providing services for our passengers, following the implementation of additional hygiene measures.

Information for passengers arriving to Turkey from abroad Learn more

Passengers who will enter Turkey with our international flights as of June 01, 2021 (excluding transfer passengers and passengers under the age of 12) must complete the documents before their flights and have their PCR tests or vaccine certifications ready. Please review the Travel to Turkey page for details.

For passengers with tickets issued for scheduled domestic and international flights between June 11, 2020 and February 28, 2022 who were/will be unable to board due to COVID-19 Learn more 

Passengers who were unable to board the scheduled Turkish Airlines and AnadoluJet flights between June 11, 2020 and February 28, 2022 because they were not accepted by the destination country and/or have a positive COVID-19 test result and/or unable to board their flights because of the PCR test applied for flights arriving to Turkey, may change their ticket, request a refund, change their ticket to an open ticket, or extend the validity of their ticket.

If the ticket is issued on or before February 28, 2022:

  • The ticket is issued for a scheduled domestic and international Turkish Airlines and AnadoluJet flight (including flights departing Turkey and arriving TRNC) departing Turkey between June 11 and February 28, 2022 (included) but the passenger is not accepted by the destination country and/or is COVID-19 positive/first contact.
  • The passenger departs Turkey, has a connecting international flight and is prevented from flying due to country-specific restrictions or tests requested by the country authorities
  • The passenger is permitted to board the flight even though the obligation to take a PCR test or other tests specified by the authorities of the first point of departure are not fulfilled and the results are not submitted or if the PCR test expired due to stopover, delay and similar reasons and/or if the passenger is not permitted to board the connecting flights at Istanbul Airport (IST), Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) and Ankara Esenboga Airport (ESB) transfer points due to country-specifif restrictions (including TRNC flights)
  • Pcr test submission is the responsibility of the passenger and our passengers who cannot submit at the first exit point will not be able to benefit from this publication.

Ticket change, changing a ticket to an open ticket and refund transactions can be completed once in accordance with the terms and conditions of the flight and regardless of the fare rules.

Change requests

You can change tickets for Turkish Airlines and AnadoluJet flights until March 31, 2022 (including) without a fee, provided that your destination is in the same flight zone and your flight is in the same cabin.

  • For tickets departing from abroad that will be processed at the transfer point: If you perform your transaction at the ticket sales offices in Ankara Airport (ESB), Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), you can make a one-time free change for the same route and cabin for a later date.
  • For tickets departing from any point in Turkey, issued as connecting flights to abroad, that will be processed at the transfer point due to restrictions on travel: If you perform a transaction at the ticket sales offices in Ankara Airport (ESB), Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), you can make a one-time free change for the same route and cabin for a later date.
  • The interline flight tickets can be changed without paying an additional fee provided that they are in the same fare class. Fare differences, if applicable, are collected separately. If the interline flights are changed to Turkish Airlines or AnadoluJet flights, a change fee shall not be applied.
  • For tickets that do not currently include a flight to/from Guanzo (CAN), the route change cannot be made to flights to/from Guanzo (CAN).

Refund Requests

You can obtain your refund without paying a fee for individual and group tickets on Turkish Airlines and AnadoluJet flights.

  • Interline flights are included. 
  • To benefit from your refund right, you must be able to document the restriction on travel.
  • Passengers who made an international departure but were not accepted on the connecting flight at the transfer points of Ankara Airport (ESB), Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), due to the obligation to submit the PCR test or other tests determined by the national authorities: if you failed to submit such tests on time and/or due to country restrictions, you are not entitled to a return.
  • Passengers who made an international departure from Turkey and arriving abroad (including TRNC flights) but are not accepted to the connecting flight at the transfer points of Ankara Airport (ESB), Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) due to the obligation to submit the PCR test or other tests determined by the country authorities: if you failed to submit such tests on time and/or due to country restrictions, you are not entitled to a return.

Change-to-Open Ticket

You can change your ticket to an open ticket without paying an additional fee.

Extension of the ticket period

You can extend the validity of your ticket until March 31, 2022 (including), without paying an additional fee.

You can perform your ticket change/return transactions by applying to Turkish Airlines sales offices with a document showing the situation that prevents your travel or you can reach us feedback form. You can perform your change-to-open ticket transactions through Turkish Airlines sales offices, the call center, and the agencies from which the ticket was purchased.

Additional rights for passengers with tickets issued between March 21, 2020 and March 31, 2022 (included) Learn more

For all Turkish Airlines and AnadoluJet tickets issued or to be issued between March 21, 2020 and March 31, 2022 (included), passengers may change their reservation, change the route or change their ticket to an open ticket under the conditions written below, provided that their flights are cancelled before the first scheduled flight time of the original ticket. (It is not valid for flights arriving to / departing from China.)

Changing of group reservations at international sales points are performed if the tickets are paid from March 21, 2020 or will be paid until March 31, 2022 (inclusive), the warranty for MCO are received or will be received. The ticket changes are performed within the scope of the current fare rules regardless of the existing penalty fees. 

Changing of group reservations at domestic sales points (including TRNC) are performed if the tickets are paid from March 21, 2020 or will be paid until March 31, 2022 (inclusive), the warranty for MCO are received or will be received. The ticket changes are performed within the scope of the current fare rules regardless of the existing penalty fees provided that the transaction is performed minimum 7 (seven) days before the first flight listed in the PNR. In other cases, the transactions are performed in accordance with the regional EMD/MCO regulations. The same fare price is not guaranteed for the new travel date.

Within the scope of this publication, the right to change without punition for domestic travels (including Ercam and Hopa) will be valid for sales and tickets made until December 31, 2021. However the original fees rules will be applied for sales for all domestic flights after 01 January 2022. In accordance with the fare rules, ExtraFly package tickets can be changed without any penalties until 12 hours before the departure and PrimeFly package tickets can be changed without any penalties until 1 hour before the departure.

Change requests

Other fare differences that may arise from the change (transaction fee, exchange differences, class, differences arising from date and destination changes, tax differences) are collected from the passenger. For partially flown tickets, the ticket change should be for the same IATA destination.

Within the scope of additional rights for travel periods determined regarding ticket change (for flights to be made until May 31, 2022), due to pandemic conditions, our passengers are entitled to a full refund without any deductions if our partner cannot provide a flight to the passenger’s destination or if the alternative destinations offered are not suitable for the passenger.

Other refund and cancellation requests shall be made in accordance with the valid fare rules and refunds for these requests are handled under the related terms and conditions.

You can change your ticket to an open ticket without paying an additional fee provided that your flight is cancelled before the scheduled flight time. Fare differences that may arise from the change (transaction fee, exchange differences, class, differences arising from date and destination changes, tax differences) are collected from the passenger.
