On average, Turkish Airlines operates twelve flights per day from Istanbul to Adana, with the number of daily flights increasing to 25 in the autumn season. In Istanbul, flights depart from Istanbul Airport (IST) and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) to Şakirpaşa Airport (ADA), Adana’s only airport. The flight takes about 90 minutes. Flights are generally scheduled from early morning and continue until midnight.
Some Istanbul-Adana flights operate via Ankara Esenboğa Airport (ESB). Although the total flight time will vary depending on the duration of the transfer, it is usually around four hours. These connecting flights are usually scheduled in the evenings.

The Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is on the city’s Anatolian side and also around 44 kilometers from the city center. Taxis and car rentals are available at the airport. As of July 1, Havaist shuttle buses to and from Sabiha Gökçen Airport operate from various points across the city. In addition, the KM22 municipal bus operates between Sabiha Gökçen and Kartal, departing from Kartal metro station; municipal bus number E3 departs from 4. Levent and continues to the airport via Kavacık; and the E11 and SG-1 bus lines operate from Kadıköy.
Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is an ideal departure point for passengers flying to Adana from the Anatolian side of Istanbul or from surrounding cities such as Kocaeli and Bursa.

Adana’s Şakirpaşa Airport (ADA) is in the Seyhan district, five kilometers from the Yüreğir, Kayalıbağ and Reşatbey neighborhoods, which are considered central areas of the city. Taxis are available at the airport. Alternatively, municipal buses numbers 135 and 159 operate between the airport and the city as do minibuses running along the Girne Boulevard and Turhan Cemal Beriker Boulevard routes.
As the airport closest to Çukurova, Adana Şakirpaşa Airport (ADA) also serves surrounding provinces such as Osmaniye and Mersin. Shuttles to these areas are available at selected hours, depending on flight schedules.
