Located on the Anatolian side, Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is an extremely popular flight point also for the passengers from the nearby cities. Passengers preferring public transportation have a couple of alternatives for reaching this airport.
Municipal buses offer service from both the European and Anatolian sides. You may reach Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) directly by taking the bus numbered SG-2 from Taksim or E-3 from 4th Levent. Passengers in the Anatolian side may take the buses E-11 or SG-1 in Kadıköy route. These buses operate on E5 highway, the bus numbered E11 serves by stopping at all bus stops, whereas the bus numbered SG-1 only stops by Çamlık and Yenisahra bus stops and heads toward the airport.
Passengers wishing to use the subway line may take off at Kartal Metro Station and use the bus line KM22 departing from here to Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW).
Another alternative would be the airport shuttles departing from Taksim, Kadıköy and Yenisahra districts. Cabs offering service 7/24 are another alternative for reaching the airport.

You may reach the city center with bus service 101, departing from the airport and following the route Yeni Mahalle, Mevlana, Adliye, İstasyon Caddesi, Medrese Önü and Seyyid Burhaneddin. The bus numbered 102 takes you to the city center until the last bus stop Fakülte İçi.
Another bus service heading towards Fakülte İçi is the bus numbered 270. This bus operates between the airport and city center, following the route Kanal Boyu, Halk Eğitim, Nato Caddesi, Hunat and Şehitlik. The bus numbered 271 operates as express and only stops by 8. Cadde, Mevlana, Nato Caddesi, Ordu Evi stops and heads towards Seyyid Burhaneddin direction.
Passengers wishing to use the airport shuttles may get to TALAS and BYZ AVM car parks. Apart from all these, offering service 7/24, cabs would also be a quick and confortable option for reaching the city center.
