Turkish Airlines offers 2 to 4 direct flights in average every day from Istanbul to Lyon. Flights take off from Istanbul Airport (IST) and land at Saint Exupery Airport (LYS) within nearly three and a half hours. Ongoing all year round, flights may increase in number during the summer season.

Istanbul Airport (IST) is approximately 35 km from the city and there are plenty of ways for you to reach the airport from the city center. It takes around 30 minutes to reach the city center by taxi and costs around 100 TL. You can travel with Havaist at almost any hour of the day, and these shuttles depart from many places in the city. It is possible to use the airport shuttles called Rhone Express serving in every 15 minutes to reach the center from Lyon Saint Exupery Airport (LYS).
You may get on a train at the airport and head towards Part-Dieu Lyon station, get off the train at Meyzieu Z.I. station, or, change to subway at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie station as well.
Moreover, you may also take a cab operating on the way out the airport and reach the city at all hours.
