The capital of Georgia, Tbilisi is an extremely attractive destination with an increasing popularity. Bearing the traces from the past, this populous capital promises both a verdant and historic atmosphere by its location on the banks of Kura River. As a city where the first settlement occurred in the fifth century, Tbilisi has hosted various ethnic origins and religions throughout the history, been ruled by the Soviet regime for long years and managed to recover successfully although being demolished over and over.

Trinity Cathedral and the Bridge of Peace, two icons built in the city after the Soviet ruling, represent the city’s existence in one sense, by refreshing itself rising from the ashes. Another frequently visited popular spot in the city is the Kartlis Deda statue of 20 meters located in Sololaki hill. Moreover, Narikala Fortress remaining from the fourth century is another crowd-pulling spot by its historic value and location offering the city view from the top.

As the sole airport serving in the city, Tbilisi Airport (TBS) is 17 kilometers to the city center.
