FEES FOR CARRYING PETS

Pet transportation is not included in the free baggage allowance and incurs an additional fee. Fees and rules for pets accepted on Ajet flights may vary.

If the pet and its carrier weigh 8 kg or less, they can travel in the passenger cabin. If the total weight exceeds 8 kg, the pet and its carrier are transported in the aircraft’s cargo hold. A fixed fee is charged based on the combined weight of the pet and carrier. Pets transported in the cabin (PETC: Pet in Cabin) are classified as a single category for weights ranging from 0-8 kg, whereas pets transported in the aircraft’s cargo hold (AVIH: Animal on Hold) are classified as light (0-23 kg), medium (24-32 kg), and heavy (33 kg+).

Pet transportation fees may vary according to the international destination. Please visit the Pet Transportation Fee Calculator page to determine how much you will pay.

Pet fees are charged per carrier. If a passenger travels with two cats in a single carrier, the fee is charged for the carrier rather than the number of animals.

Pet Fee Pricing for Stopover Flights:

If there is a stopover, the fare will be calculated separately from the stopover point to the destination. The total charge is the sum of the two flight segments.

When separate calculations are made, each trip is evaluated in its own category and calculated using the PETC/AVIH tables from the publication.

Example 1: For PETC travel between FRA and JFK, the FRA-IST transportation fee plus the IST-JFK transportation fee will be charged.

Example 2: For travel between EDI and SIN with AVIH, the sum of the EDI-IST and IST-SIN transportation fees will be charged based on the pet’s weight category.
