While Eid al-Fitr is known as the most popular time for Umrah, there is no specific time period for performing the pilgrimage; you can perform Umrah at any time except on the eve of Eid al-Adha and the four days of the festival. However, as Saudi Arabia is a country with a desert climate, the winter months may be more suitable for worship as they tend to be cooler. Â Please note: During the Hajj season, which covers approximately one month before Eid al-Adha, travelers cannot enter Mecca without a Hajj visa or permit.
