You have various alternatives for reaching the city center from Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) which is on the Anatolian side.
Rail system in the Anatolian side of Istanbul does not provide service to Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW). However, you may reach the subway station by taking the municipal bus numbered KM22 from the airport. You may have different transfer opportunities to any destination in the city once you change to the subway line.
Passengers wishing to take buses to reach the city center may use the bus systems operating in Kadıköy – Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) – Kadıköy route. You may prefer amongst two buses; the bus numbered E11 serves in E5 highway route and stops by all bus stops, whereas the bus numbered SG-1 offers express service and gets you to Kadıköy more swiftly.Another option is taking the shuttles operating regularly from the airport to Kadıköy and Taksim direction.You may also rent a car from the car rental offices within the airport, or make use of the cabs which are available 7/24.
