Touristanbul is a complimentary city tour service offered to Turkish Airlines passengers who have international connecting flights. Passengers with connecting flights from Istanbul and a layover time between 6 - 24 hours can take advantage of this service if their flight times are compatible with tour times, and explore one of the world’s most captivating cities. You can visit the Historical Peninsula, enjoy the view of the Bosphorus, and see iconic landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, Topkapı Palace, and Sultanahmet Mosque. Touristanbul offers you an opportunity to transform your layover into a memorable Istanbul experience.

What is Touristanbul?

Touristanbul is a free city tour service consisting of seven routes with different schedules and content. Passengers who are connecting from one international flight to another international flight, with a transfer time of 6-24 hours at Istanbul Airport, can choose the most suitable tour according to their flight times and take advantage of this service to fully explore the city.

How do I register?

There are two Touristanbul Desks at Istanbul Airport: One is in the transfer area and the other is on the Arrivals floor. At the Touristanbul Desk in the transfer area, passengers can get detailed information about our city tours and find out if they are eligible to participate in the tour. Passengers who are eligible for the tour can register at the Touristanbul Desk on the Arrivals level.

What does it offer?

Touristanbul promises a unique travel experience in Istanbul, a warm, dynamic city that welcomes visitors at any time of day. On the tours, passengers are picked up by a vehicle from Istanbul Airport and driven back to the airport at the end of the tour. Our guests visit the city’s historical sites free of charge and enjoy the unique flavors of Turkish cuisine.

Touristanbul terms and conditions:

Passengers must check in at the Touristanbul registration desk on the Arrivals level at least 30 minutes before the tour departure time. Reaching the Touristanbul registration desk on the arrivals level at Istanbul Airport takes approximately 45 minutes. This time includes the passport control process.
Passengers wishing to use this service must have departure and arrival flights under the same reservation code (PNR) and hold a Turkish Airlines ticket starting with the number 235.
Passengers can book online by entering their reservation code (PNR) or ticket number and last name in the relevant fields on this page and viewing the tours for which they are eligible.
There must be at least 1 hour and 25 minutes between the end time of the selected tour and the passenger’s next flight.
Passengers cannot use both the Touristanbul and Stopover services during the same waiting period.
Passengers are responsible for obtaining visas, if applicable. You can check visa regulations on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye or on the e-visa services page.
