Special meal service

Special meals are available for infants and children, as well as for passengers who have specific dietary requirements due to health conditions or religious beliefs. All meals are carefully prepared using fresh, natural ingredients that add flavor to your flight.

General information

  • Special meal requests can be made up to 24 hours prior to the flight via our website, mobile app, call center, or sales offices.
  • Miles&Smiles members can manage special meal preferences through their Miles&Smiles accounts. If Miles&Smiles members have opted for special meals in the “Meal Preference” section of their profile, the selected menu will be served, although this may vary depending on the aircraft and/or operational reasons.
  • As we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens on the aircraft, we cannot accept responsibility for any allergic reactions. When booking their flight, passengers with allergies to specific foods can select a suitable special meal from the options available.
  • The meals served on Turkish Airlines’ flights are prepared in accordance with Islamic dietary laws.
  • Menu items offered for the special meal service may vary between Economy and Business Class.

Repas pour diabétiques (DBML)




Préparé pour les passagers souffrant de diabète (taux de sucre élevé). Les repas sont servis avec très peu de sucre et des quantités équilibrées de protéines, de matières grasses, de fibres et de glucides complexes.

Ne contient pas d'aliments frits. Contient certains ou l’ensemble des produits suivants : produits laitiers et viande sans matières grasses, volaille sans peau, poisson et fruits de mer, légumes, fruits. Servi avec du pain complet et d’autres produits céréaliers.

Repas sans gluten (GFML)




Le repas ne contient pas d’aliments contenant du gluten. Cependant, il peut contenir des traces de gluten. Il n’est pas conseillé aux passagers allergiques au blé.
Les repas sans gluten (GFML) suivants sont proposés : la viande, le poisson, les fruits de mer, la volaille, les fruits, les légumes, le riz, le maïs, les pommes de terre, les patates douces, l’avoine sans gluten, le sarrasin, les œufs, les produits laitiers, les légumineuses, le quinoa, les graines de lin, les graines de tournesol, les huiles, les graisses et les produits avec certificat sans gluten.

Repas casher (KSML)




Les aliments sont préparés conformément aux normes casher.

Notre repas, qui est préparé conformément à la cuisine casher, est scellé deux fois après l’emballage.

Repas végétarien jaïn (VJML)




Préparé avec une variété de sauces et d’épices indiennes pour nos voyageurs végétariens qui suivent des règles strictes conformes au jaïnisme.

Ne contient pas de volaille, viande, poisson, fruits de mer, œufs, produits laitiers, légumes-racines et légumes de la famille des oignons. Contient certains ou l'ensemble des produits suivants : fruits, légumes, épices, tofu, légumineuses, riz et céréales.

Repas végétarien asiatique (AVML)




Préparé avec une variété de sauces et d’épices indiennes pour nos voyageurs végétariens qui préfèrent les repas végétariens à l’indienne.

Ne contient aucun type de viande et produits à base de viande, poisson, fruits de mer, œufs ou gélatine d’origine animale. Contient certains ou l’ensemble des produits suivants : légumes, fruits frais, fruits secs, légumineuses, lait et produits laitiers, tofu et céréales.

Hindu Non-Vegetarian Meal (HNML)




Available for passengers who follow Hindu dietary principles. These Indian-influenced meals are non-vegetarian and may contain lamb, chicken, fish, grains, eggs, milk and dairy products. Meals do not contain veal, beef or beef by-products, or raw/smoked fish.

Repas végétalien (VGML)




Préparé pour les passagers ne consommant pas d’aliments contenant des produits d’origine animale.

Repas bébé (BBML)




Des aliments pour bébés dans des bocaux en verre sont proposés aux passagers âgés de moins de deux ans. 

* Vous pouvez apporter des préparations pour nourrissons liquides ou solides auxquelles votre bébé est habitué dans des contenants allant jusqu’à 100 ml.

Ne contient pas de viande avec des os, d'aliments épicés, de blé, de gluten, de poisson, d'œufs, de fruits acides ou de bœuf. Contient certains ou l’ensemble des produits suivants : fruits, légumes, purée à la viande et dessert.

Repas enfant (CHML)




Préparé et servi conformément aux besoins nutritionnels des enfants âgés de 2 à 12 ans.

Ne contient pas de poisson avec arêtes ou de viande avec des os, de fruits secs, de noix, de graines, d'aliments épicés, de sauces et vinaigrettes ou de bonbons durs. Contient certains ou l'ensemble des produits suivants : carottes râpées, fromage, crackers, aliments à manger avec les doigts, fruits frais et jus de fruits.

Information for passengers with nut or peanut allergies

Although serious allergic reactions are rare on our flights, if you do have an allergy to a specific food (e.g., nuts or peanuts), please consult your doctor before traveling to assess the risks of travel. If you have an allergic reaction to nuts, peanuts, or similar dried fruits consumed near you, be sure to bring your doctor's report in your cabin baggage, along with a prescription epinephrine/adrenaline auto-injector and any other medications you may require. You must have your auto-injector prescription and doctor's report in order to pass through airport security checkpoints without problems and to verify precautions taken before the flight. Passengers with severe nut or peanut allergies may not be permitted on the aircraft for flight safety reasons if they do not have a doctor's report.

If you have a specific allergy to foods such as nuts or peanuts, it is important to provide our cabin crew with detailed information about your allergy in advance; this is so that they can assist you in the event of a potential emergency that requires immediate intervention, such as a severe allergic reaction. When boarding the aircraft, please show the cabin crew your cabin bag containing medications, as well as your doctor's note indicating what actions to take in an emergency. Although cabin crew members have first aid training, if your allergy is severe, it is highly recommended that you travel with a companion who can assist you quickly and safely during the flight.

Complimentary snacks served onboard may include nuts or seeds, including peanuts or pistachios. Passengers with nut allergies can request an allergen-free menu via our sales channels up to 48 hours prior to the flight. Except for certain flights, this menu will be served only to passengers who have notified us of their allergy; other inflight menus will not be changed. While precautions are taken on our flights, we cannot guarantee that other passengers are not carrying items containing these nuts; particles/dust from these items may be distributed throughout the aircraft via the ventilation system. Accordingly, we cannot accept responsibility for any allergic reactions.
