Important update on the fuel surcharge (YR) in Japan

Turkish Airlines originally introduced Fuel surcharge in response to unprecedented rises. We highly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

The fuel surcharge applies to Turkish Airlines flights departing from Japan and is set as follows (including Insurance Surcharge). Infant passengers are exempt from this surcharge.

- Tickets issued from December 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026:

27,500 JPY per person one-way

- Tickets issued from February 1, 2026 to March 31, 2026:

31,900 JPY per person one-way

The fuel surcharge amounts also apply to tickets departing from Japan that include routes beyond Istanbul.

Every year in April, June, August, October, December, and February, Singapore jet kerosene prices are reviewed. The two-month average price is converted into Japanese yen based on the average exchange rate, and the fuel surcharge is recalculated accordingly. If the average price falls below 6,000 JPY per barrel, the fuel surcharge is removed for tickets issued during the following two-month period.
