Important notice regarding the fuel surcharge

Turkish Airlines applies a “fuel surcharge” and an “airline insurance fee.” We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

The fuel surcharge for Turkish Airlines flights departing from Japan is as follows. Infant fares are exempt.

  • For tickets issued through 31AUG, 2026:

65,000 yen per person, one-way

  • For tickets issued from Sep 1, 2026, to Oct 31, 2026:

55,000 yen per person, one-way

The fuel surcharge is determined by reviewing the price of aviation fuel (Singapore kerosene) and calculating the yen equivalent by multiplying the average fuel price (Singapore kerosene) over the past two months by the average exchange rate for that period. If the price falls below 6,000 yen per barrel, the fuel surcharge will be abolished for tickets issued on or after the 1st of the month two months later, as shown in the table below.

The following are the criteria for revising the fuel surcharge based on the price of Singapore kerosene.
