When can passengers travel without a companion?
Passengers who can walk short distances, walk within the cabin and climb stairs but require assistance during airport procedures, as well as those who can move independently within the cabin but need assistance when boarding or disembarking the aircraft and using stairs, may travel without a companion if they confirm that they can independently meet their personal care needs.
Passengers who use wheelchairs may also travel without a companion if they confirm that they can independently meet their personal needs throughout the flight, including eating, drinking, using the toilet and managing their medication. Assistance required during airport procedures or when boarding and disembarking the aircraft is provided as part of the relevant services.
In accordance with the relevant U.S. Department of Transportation regulation, Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 382, Subpart K, passengers with reduced mobility and physical or intellectual disabilities travelling on flights operated by Turkish Airlines to the United States may contact a Complaint Resolution Official (CRO) regarding complaints or concerns. CROs are available at airports during our operating hours. They can also be contacted by email at CRO@THY.COM, and provide assistance in both English and Turkish.
