Introducing Tokyo

Japan's capital city, Tokyo, is full of contrasts. Towering skyscrapers are interspersed with traditional temples, and a hectic pace of life seems to slow right down in the city's calming parks and gardens. It's also a shining symbol of development, and you can survey all the city has accomplished from the top of Tokyo Tower. If you explore the East Garden of the Tokyo Imperial Palace during spring, you'll see the "sakura" cherry blossoms create some of the most breathtaking scenes in the city. Indulge your love of electronics in the Akihabara district, then take a trip to Edo-Tokyo Museum for a more traditional sense of the city. Not surprisingly, Tokyo is one of the best places in the world to try the unique flavors of Far Eastern cuisine, so be sure to sample all you can while you’re here.
