About Touristanbul

Touristanbul is a complimentary Istanbul city tour service offered exclusively to international travelers who have a layover at Istanbul Airport. Passengers with Turkish Airlines tickets, a transfer time of 6-24 hours, and flight times that match the tour times can take advantage of this service. Thanks to Touristanbul, our passengers have an enjoyable opportunity to discover the splendid history, culture, and nature of Istanbul during their layover period.

We offer the tours every day of the year, with six different tour programs at different times and 19 tour routes every week. The tours start and end at Istanbul Airport. All include tour guide service, meals, transportation, and museum entrance fees, all covered by Turkish Airlines.

Touristanbul Participation Conditions

*Passengers must have a connecting flight from one international destination to another via Istanbul Airport.

*The layover time must be at least six hours and no more than 24 hours. The layover times must be compatible with the tour times.

*All passengers (even those who have made an online reservation) must report to the Touristanbul Registration Desk located in the passenger arrival area at least 30 minutes before the tour’s departure time. It usually takes around 45 minutes to get from the arrival gate at Istanbul Airport to the Touristanbul registration desk in the arrivals floor. This time includes the passport control process.

*Departure and arrival flights must be on the same reservation code (PNR).

*Participants must have a Turkish Airlines ticket that starts with the number 235.

*Passengers can make online reservations by entering their reservation code (PNR) or ticket number and last name in the relevant fields on our homepage and viewing the tours for which they are eligible.

*Passengers must be back at the Departures Terminal at least 1 hour and 25 minutes before their scheduled flight to complete their flight procedures after the tour ends.

*Passengers cannot use the Touristanbul and hotel services during the same layover period.

*Visa procedures are the passenger’s responsibility. You can check visa arrangements on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye (http://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa) or on the e-visa services page (https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en).

In the Istanbul Airport, you'll find not one but two Touristanbul Desks: one in the arrivals floor and one in the transfer area.

Stop by the Touristanbul Desk in the transfer area to learn all about our excursions and find out if you are entitled to a tour.

You can register for our tours at the Touristanbul Desk on the arrival floor.

Before their scheduled tour begins, passengers must come to the Touristanbul Desk located on the arrivals floor no later than 30 minutes prior to the trip's start time.
