General Conditions of the Stopover Accommodation Service - To benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service, a hotel voucher must be issued before the start of the journey. Applications submitted after arrival in İstanbul are not eligible for the service.
- To benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service, the layover between two flights must be at least 20 hours and cannot exceed 7 days (168 hours).
- Passengers traveling on international flights connecting through İstanbul Airport (IST) on both their outbound and return flights may benefit from our Stopover Accommodation Service.
- To benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service, the outbound and return flights must be included in the same reservation. Separate tickets for outbound and return flights are not accepted.
- Passengers may benefit from this service only once, either on the outbound or return leg of their journey.
- To benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service, the country where the journey begins and the country where it ends must be the same.
- The Stopover Accommodation Service is only available for round-trip journeys where all flights are operated by Turkish Airlines. Passengers traveling on codeshare flights cannot benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service.
- Passengers traveling in different cabin classes (Economy Class / Business Class) on their outbound and return flights are entitled to the accommodation benefits associated with the cabin class of the flight segment on which they use the Stopover Accommodation Service.
- Passengers with ticket numbers starting with 235 can benefit from this service.
- Rules may vary from country to country; passengers benefiting from the Stopover Accommodation Service are subject to the rules of the country from which they first depart with Turkish Airlines.
- Passengers who benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service cannot benefit from the Touristanbul service on the same route.
- Passengers under the age of 18 traveling alone cannot benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service.
- Passengers traveling with tickets issued in N and R fare classes cannot benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service.
- If the transfer time in İstanbul exceeds 24 hours, passengers are required to collect their baggage from the baggage claim area in the international terminal at İstanbul Airport.
Accommodation Conditions and Duration - Economy Class passengers can stay for 1 night at a 4-star hotel free of charge.
- Business Class passengers can stay for 2 nights at a 5-star or boutique hotel free of charge.
- The complimentary accommodation period must be used consecutively and cannot be divided into separate dates.
*Special cases:
For passengers whose first departure point on their round-trip ticket is Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong), Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, or the USA:
- Economy Class passengers can stay for 2 nights at a 4-star hotel free of charge.
- Business Class passengers can stay for 3 nights at a 5-star or boutique hotel free of charge.
Application and Approval Process - Passengers who wish to benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service are required to apply at least 72 hours prior to the departure of the first flight for which they wish to use the service.
- To benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service, the passenger’s originally issued ticket or the current ticket resulting from a voluntary ticket change must meet all eligibility criteria.
- The Stopover Accommodation Service is not available for tickets that do not meet the eligibility criteria, even if the itinerary becomes eligible following a complimentary ticket change made due to a flight disruption. - To avoid being affected by possible flight changes, passengers who wish to benefit from the Stopover Accommodation Service are advised to submit their application as soon as possible after completing the ticketing process.
Hotel Reservations and Voucher Usage - Hotels located close to city centers and tourist areas are prioritized under the service. However, in order to provide accommodation to all eligible passengers, hotels located in different areas may also be offered depending on seasonal demand and operational requirements.
- Hotel reservations are made based on the room quotas allocated to Turkish Airlines and hotel availability. Accommodation at a specific hotel is not guaranteed.
- The locations and service features of hotels offered under the Stopover Accommodation Service may vary.
- Passengers traveling with pets may benefit from the service only if pet-friendly hotels are available. All related costs are the responsibility of the passenger. Passengers are required to contact the hotel directly after the reservation process has been completed.
- Special accommodation requests, such as room assignments, for passengers traveling with infants or children are subject to hotel availability and operational conditions. For such requests, passengers are required to contact the hotel directly after the reservation process has been completed.
- Information regarding the needs of passengers with disabilities or limited mobility must be added to their flight reservation before applying for the Stopover Accommodation Service. Based on this information, accommodation at suitable hotels may be provided, subject to availability. After the hotel reservation has been completed, passengers are required to contact the hotel directly to communicate any additional requests related to their needs.
- Passengers without a hotel voucher cannot benefit from the complimentary accommodation service.
- The hotel voucher and boarding pass must be presented at hotel check-in.
- Hotel vouchers are issued based on the current ticket number. If the ticket number changes, a new hotel voucher must be requested by the passenger.
- Once a hotel voucher has been issued by the system, it cannot be changed according to personal requests.
- Passengers who wish to extend their stay may contact the hotel directly after receiving their hotel voucher and benefit from Turkish Airlines’ special rates.
- Room arrangement requests are subject to hotel availability and operational conditions. After the hotel voucher has been issued, passengers are required to contact the hotel directly for such requests.
Check-in and Check-out - Accommodation duration and hotel usage hours provided under the Stopover Accommodation Service are calculated according to flight schedules and do not guarantee hotel usage until the departure of the onward flight or full-day use of the hotel.
- Hotel check-in and check-out times are determined based on flight schedules and the location of the hotel.
- Check-in and check-out times are indicated on the hotel voucher. Passengers are advised to carefully review their hotel voucher details before travel.
- Passengers arriving in İstanbul early in the morning may be required to wait until the standard hotel check-in time.
- Passengers arriving in İstanbul late at night or having a late-night onward flight are advised to carefully consider their hotel usage period. Passengers checking in late at night may still be required to check out at the standard hotel check-out time on the following day.
- Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to hotel availability and are not included within the Stopover Accommodation Service. Any additional charges are the responsibility of the passenger.
Visa, Transportation, and Additional Costs - Obtaining all travel documents required for entry into and exit from Türkiye, as well as any visa fees, duties, and similar expenses, is the responsibility of the passenger. Passengers are advised to check the applicable entry requirements before travel and visit the e-Visa page.
- The Stopover Accommodation Service covers hotel accommodation and breakfast only. Any additional expenses are the responsibility of the passenger.
- Transportation and transfer services are not provided within the scope of the Stopover Accommodation Service. Transportation expenses between the airport and hotel, as well as local transportation and travel expenses, are the responsibility of the passenger.
Legal Notices - Turkish Airlines reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the Stopover Accommodation Service in İstanbul.
