A visa on arrival is available at Istanbul Airport for citizens of certain countries. As there are no e-visa counters at the airport, passengers must bring a printout of their e-visa with them. The departure fee stamp can be purchased at the 2 cashier desks located between check-in islands G and K and the passport control point on the Departures level. The departure fee is set by the Ministry of Finance.

Transfer passengers can stay at the airport hotel (Yotel) located inside the airport.
Items that pose a risk to flight security and safety are held in custody by the airport operator. Confiscated items must be collected within the specified period, either in person from the designated location or by a person authorised in writing (power of attorney); otherwise, they are destroyed. An item that is not permitted in baggage can be collected later from the Lost and Found Office or from the lockable left-luggage lockers.
Istanbul Airport has a clinic, ambulance and doctor available 24 hours a day. Medical services are provided on both the Departures and Transfer levels. There is also a pharmacy inside the terminal.

After entering the terminal, passengers with disabilities can call an attendant on request and are escorted all the way to the aircraft. Istanbul Airport has a paid car park with a total capacity of 40,000 vehicles, operating 24/7. Of this, 18,000 spaces are in the covered car park and 22,000 spaces are in the open-air car park. Car park fees are set by the airport operator.

The Lost and Found Office can be reached by telephone or by visiting the airport in person. The location of the Lost and Found Office at Istanbul Airport can be found through signage, maps and applications. You can collect your found item from the Lost and Found Office against a signature, and you can also learn the status of your item from the same office. Items containing personal information are also taken into secure custody and stored.

Istanbul Airport has 2 screening areas: 1 landside (before passport control) and 1 airside (after passport control). Advanced X-ray devices, thermal cameras and advanced detectors are used to facilitate risk detection, with the aim of shortening processing times.
You can complete boarding using the QR code on your mobile boarding pass, without the need for a printed boarding pass. However, please note that a printed boarding pass may be requested depending on the practices of the departure station or the authorities of the relevant country.
Passage without ID is not possible. For security reasons, the original ID must be presented.

If you experience a baggage irregularity, you must visit our Baggage Services office and file a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) before leaving the terminal building. Your baggage tag and ID document are sufficient when applying to our Baggage Services office.

If you realise you have left your passport on the aircraft before leaving the airport, you can apply to the Turkish Airlines Transfer Desk in the middle of the Transfer level and get support from the staff on duty.
Steps you can follow:
If you are still at the airport, go to the Turkish Airlines Lost Property Office on the Arrivals level. Provide the staff with your flight details, your seat number and your passport details. When cleaning crews check the aircraft, items such as passports are usually handed in to this unit.
If you have left the airport, you can fill in the “lost property” report form via the Turkish Airlines Baggage Irregularities page or the Help Center.
