As Turkish Airlines, we take the utmost care to protect personal data and privacy at every stage of our flights in order to maintain the highest level of flight safety and travel comfort. In this context, we would like to inform you of the points to be considered in the common living areas on board the aircraft.

* Civil Aviation Legislation: Complying with the instructions of our cabin crew at every stage of the flight is a legal obligation for our passengers. Obstructing the cabin crew from performing their duties in a manner that could jeopardize flight safety may result in the application of the "unruly passenger" procedure and may be subject to penalties such as administrative fines or temporary flight restrictions.

*Protection of Personal Data: Images of our cabin and cockpit crew, as well as images and audio recordings of other passengers on board, are considered “personal data” under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. Recording our cabin crew and flight personnel performing their duties for the safe completion of flight operations using various tools and/or recording images/audio that may include other passengers and sharing this data on digital platforms; This constitutes “unauthorized processing of personal data” under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (‘Law’) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

* Passenger Privacy: The privacy of all our guests on board is paramount. Recording images or sounds using phones, cameras, or similar recording devices without the consent of other passengers, and sharing such recordings, may violate the privacy of personal life and negatively impact travel comfort.

* Legal Liability: We would like to remind you that in the event of a violation of these rights, which are protected by law, administrative and legal sanctions may be imposed, primarily under Turkish Criminal Code No. 5237 and the relevant instructions of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, upon complaint by the persons concerned (our employees or passengers).

To provide you with a better experience, we are renovating the Turkish Airlines Domestic Lounge at Istanbul Airport as of September 9, 2025.

During this period, the main entrance door of the Domestic Special Passenger Lounge will remain open. As the elevators serving the Domestic Special Passenger Lounge in the main terminal will be within the work area, access to the Lounge will be provided by vehicles operating in front of the G3F boarding gate. The main entrance door of the Domestic Special Passenger Lounge will remain open.

We would like to inform you that we will be serving you from a single Lounge during the renovation period. Thank you for your understanding.
