[1] Your Elite Plus complimentary cabin upgrade benefit is renewed as two coupons for each annual membership period. Unused coupons do not carry over to the next period when your membership period ends.

[2] You can use your Elite Plus complimentary cabin upgrade benefit on your bookings if Business Class seats are available in certain fare classes.

  • 72 hours or more prior to your flight: You can use this benefit only if J class seats are available.
  • 24–72 hours before your flight: You can use this benefit if J or K class seats are available.
  • Within 24 hours of your flight: You can use this benefit if there is availability in any fare class in Business Class.
  • Your family members must also be Miles&Smiles members.

How can I use my benefits?

  • You can easily upgrade to Elite Plus for your existing reservations via our website or mobile app.
  • You can contact our call center for assistance regarding transactions you cannot complete through online channels.
  • You can complete the process by providing your Miles&Smiles membership number at Turkish Airlines sales offices or during check-in at the airport.
  • You can upgrade to Business Class on your flight if seats are available in the following fare classes.
  • If there is no availability in the relevant classes for your preferred flight, you can add yourself to the waitlist for that flight via our website or mobile app. If seats become available in the relevant classes on your flight, you will be notified via email and push notifications so you can use your free cabin upgrade coupon. Please note that this notification does not guarantee that the cabin upgrade will be processed.

Why can’t upgrade coupons be redeemed when there appears to be availability in Business Class? More information

In order to use your Elite Plus complimentary upgrade benefit, the flight you have booked must have Business Class availability within certain fare classes.

The fare classes available for use vary depending on the amount of time remaining before your flight:

  • If your flight is more than 72 hours from departure, availability must be in J class.
  • If your flight is within 24-72 hours, availability is limited to J or K class.

If you have less than 24 hours until your flight, any fare class in Business Class is sufficient.

Even if there appear to be open seats in the Business cabin, they may not always be available for use with cabin upgrade coupons. Coupons are redeemable only when there is availability in the fare classes listed above.

In what situations can Elite Plus cabin upgrade coupons be redeemed through online channels? More information

You can only use your Elite Plus cabin upgrade coupons on reservations where you are listed as a passenger on our website or mobile app.

If the reservation includes other passengers or does not match your Miles&Smiles account, you may be unable to upgrade your cabin through online channels. In such cases, please contact our call center or sales office to request a cabin upgrade.

How many coupons are necessary to use Elite Plus cabin upgrade benefits on round-trip reservations? More information

Each Elite Plus cabin upgrade coupon is valid for a one-way flight.

For round-trip reservations:

  • To upgrade only your outbound flight, use one coupon.
  • To upgrade both outbound and return flights, two coupons are required.

If bookings include a stopover, are different coupons required for each flight? More information

Your Elite Plus cabin upgrade coupons are typically used once per one-way flight, regardless of whether there is a stopover or layover.

However, in some cases, a different coupon may be required for each flight segment:

  • Cabin upgrades on connecting flights are available with a single coupon only if the time between arrival and departure is less than 24 hours.
  • If a fare class is not available, up to two coupons can be used, one for each segment.

The number of coupons required for flights that include a stopover or layover may differ depending on the duration of the layover and the availability of an eligible upgrade class on the relevant flight segments.
