Tashkent
Tashkent, with a history dating to the second century BC, is now a modern capital. The 19th-century Madrasah of Abdulkasim Sheikh is one of the city's attractions for passengers on Uzbekistan flights. Bukhara
Bukhara, the city of distinguished Turkish Islamic scholars, is one of Islam's most important centers. Home to numerous mosques, madrasas, and caravanserais, Bukhara is a popular tourist destination, particularly for visitors interested in religious and cultural excursions. The most notable structure in the city is the 48-meter-high Bukhara Kalon Minaret. The Ark Fortress, where the state rulers lived throughout almost the entire history of the country, and the Bukhara State Architectural Art Museum impress visitors with their splendor and archives.
Khiva
At more than 2,500 years old, the old city of Khiva is one of Central Asia's best-preserved, with the Ichan Kala (Fortress) a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within the ancient walls lie some of the most magnificent examples of traditional Khiva architecture, including the Kalta Minor (Short Minaret), featuring striking blue tiles. Other highlights in Khiva are the Mohammed Amin Khan Madrassah and the Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Mahmud.
