Traces of Turkish architecture can be seen in this old Ottoman city. Skopje’s population is predominantly Macedonian, followed by Albanians and Turks. The town’s buildings fall into one of two categories –traditional and modern – and the Soviet influence is also clear to see. Skopje is a wonderful tourist destination which stands out due to its natural beauty and cultural richness.
