Baku
Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is a scientific and cultural hub for the region as well as the country. Some of the city’s highlights include the Walled City of Baku, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the complex also houses the Maiden Tower and the 15th-century Shirvanshah's Palace. Nakhchivan is home to important sites such as the 12th-century Momine Khatun Mausoleum, Nakhchivan Khan's Palace, and Prophet Noah's Tomb (Noah's Mausoleum). The cave of Ashabi-Kahf, mentioned in the Quran, is believed to be located in Nakhchivan and attracts numerous visitors. Ganja
Home to various civilizations for centuries, Ganja is one of the region's oldest cities and best known for being the birthplace of the legendary Azerbaijani poet Nizami.
