Located on the European side of Istanbul, between the Tayakadın and Akpınar villages on the Black Sea coast, Istanbul Airport (IST) is 42 km from the city center. Municipal buses and airport shuttles run between the city and the airport, as does the metro. The IETT buses numbered H-1, H-2, H-3, H-6, and H-8 operate airport routes as does the Gayrettepe - Istanbul Airport subway (M11), while Havaist buses operate throughout the day between the airport and various points in Istanbul, including Taksim, Beşiktaş, Yenikapı and Kozyatağı. Taxis and car rentals are also available at Istanbul Airport. Taxi fares and trip length will vary depending on your destination.
Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD)
Heydar Aliyev Airport began operating in 1980. Renamed for Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan's third president, in 2004, the airport offers modern terminals and services. Aero Express buses operate between the city and Heydar Aliyev Airport as do taxis.
