Popular cities in Georgia

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is Georgia's capital and largest city; it is also one of Europe’s oldest capitals. The heart of the city is historic Old Tbilisi, which dates from the early Middle Ages. The district houses the famous 17th century sulfur baths as well as colorful houses and historic churches, synagogues and a mosque. Some of Tbilisi’s other highlights include the hilltop Narikala Fortress and the Dry Bridge Market, while vibrant Rustaveli Avenue houses buildings like the Opera House, the National Gallery, and the Modern Art Museum, as well as hip cafes, restaurants, and boutiques.

Batumi
On Georgia's Black Sea coast, Batumi is a dynamic city with much to offer: a seafront promenade, lush parks, and modern structures such as the Alphabetic Tower. Batumi is also home to the unique Ali and Nino statue, which depicts the lovers from the 1937 novel. Other popular spots are Piazza Square and the Botanical Garden.
