Istanbul Airport (IST)
Located in Arnavutköy, on Istanbul's European side, Istanbul Airport is approximately 42 kilometers from the Istanbul city center. After landing at the airport, you can reach the city center via the metro, taxis, municipal buses or airport shuttle buses or by renting a car. The IETT buses, numbered H-1, H-2, H-3, H-6, H-8, and the Gayrettepe - Istanbul Airport metro (M11) are convenient public transportation options operating between the airport and the city, as are the Havaist airport shuttles, serving Istanbul Airport. Taxis are available 24-7 at the airport; the fare and length of the ride will depend according to your destination.
Esenboğa Airport (ESB)
Esenboğa Airport (ESB), Ankara's only airport, handles numerous domestic and international flights daily. The airport is about 29 kilometers from the city center; the municipal bus line 442 operates 24 hours a day as do AnkaraAir buses. The bus ride between Esenboğa Airport and the city center typically takes around 40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Yellow taxis are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from both the city center and the airport.
