Tashkent
Tashkent, with a history dating to the second century BC, is now a modern capital. The 19th-century Madrasah of Abdulkasim Sheikh is one of the city's attractions for passengers on Uzbekistan flights. Bukhara
Bukhara, the city of distinguished Turkish Islamic scholars, is one of Islam's most important centers. The most notable structure in the city is the 48-meter-high Bukhara Kalon Minaret. Khiva
At more than 2,500 years old, the old city of Khiva is one of Central Asia's best-preserved, with the Ichan Kala (Fortress) a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
