Turkish Airlines is now offering accommodation services to passengers flying from outside Türkiye who have connecting flights departing from Istanbul Airport to their onward destination outside of Türkiye. Why not take advantage of a refreshing layover in Istanbul yourself?

Terms and conditions

  • Economy Class passengers on flights with layovers exceeding 12 hours and Business Class passengers with layovers exceeding nine hours can take advantage of complimentary hotel services only if the stopover time is the shortest one available for the relevant route. If a shorter layover flight is available, hotel services are not applicable, even if that flight is full. Since only flights for your selected date are listed on the flight search screen, shorter layover options may be available in the early hours of the following day. For example, if you are searching for a ticket from Dubai to New York (JFK) on October 31, the last Dubai to Istanbul flight on October 31 and the Istanbul to New York flight on November 1 may be displayed together. However, if you select the Dubai–Istanbul flight departing at 2:50 AM on November 1, you can connect to the Istanbul–New York flight departing that same morning. In this case, an alternative flight with a shorter connection time is available, you are not eligible for the complimentary hotel service.
  • The layover period is calculated taking the landing time of the first flight and departure time of the second flight as a basis.
  • Passengers under the age of 18 will not be accepted without accompanying adults.
  • A maximum of two nights’ accommodation will be offered.
  • Passengers holding tickets which qualify them for this service may no longer be eligible for it if changes to their tickets are made.
  • If the layover period falls below 12 hours for Economy Class journeys, or 9 hours for Business Class journeys, the hotel service will not be offered. Ticket changes can be made without paying additional fees or deductions.
  • The hotels where passengers will stay are selected by Turkish Airlines, from among the contracted hotels that are suitable for the daily planned vacancies.
  • Hotel accommodation is available for passengers on international flights connecting through airports in Türkiye. “Codeshare” flights operated by the Company as the “Operating Carrier” are included within this scope. Passengers with connecting flights under the same confirmed ticket can benefit from this service.
  • Hotel service is not provided in the transit area, and the passengers for whom the hotel right arises due to connecting flights bear the obligation to any visa/passport and the regulatory obligations (e-visa, visa fee) required to enter Türkiye.
