Introducing Kahramanmaraş


The 11th largest city in Turkey, it is located where the Eastern Anatolia, Mediterranean, and Southeastern Anatolia Regions meet. Formerly known as Maraş, this glorious city had its name changed to Kahramanmaraş (Kahraman meaning “Hero”) in 1973 in reference to the successful resistance against the French occupation.
