Introducing Niamey

The city lies on the east side of Niger River and it is political, cultural, commercial and economic center of the country. Although the country gained its independence from France in 1960, the impacts of France can still be experienced. The city is has an equatorial climate and we suggest you to visit the city between December and February when the weather is generally dry and warm. It would be useful to add that thunder squalls between June and October may hinder daily life.

Niamey is known for:

Nature and Wildlife Forest History and Art
