As a result of the independent audits carried out by APEX under the consultancy of YATES+ based on the criteria of health safety, service quality and sustainability, our brand became the winner of the World Class Award – granted to only seven airlines in the world. Launched in 2022, World Class airlines have attained international standards of safety well-being, sustainability, service and inclusiveness as evaluated by industry professionals. We are pleased to be recognized with this award for the first time for our long-held understanding that prioritizes harmony and respect for the environment, and never compromises on our quality of service.

As a result of passenger feedback evaluated by APEX (Airlines Passenger Experience Association), considered one of the most reliable and respected aviation organizations in the world, we were selected as a “5-Star Global Airline”.
World Finance 2022 Sustainability Awards- Most Sustainable Flag Carrier Airline
With our sustainability-focused efforts, we were deemed worthy of the 2022 Sustainability Award in the category of Most Sustainable Flag Carrier Airline by World Finance, one of the most respected institutions of the international finance World.
We received this award due to our fleet being one of the world’s youngest and most modern, our projects of fuel efficiency and decreasing emissions in order to combat climate change, usage of biofuel and our support for R&D projects with this scope, flexibility and strong financial performance during pandemic.
CAPA (Centre For Aviation)- Airline Sustainability Innovation of the Year
We were awarded the “Airline of the Year in Sustainability Innovation” by CAPA (Centre For Aviation) with the R&D support we provided to the Microalgae-Based Sustainable Bio-Jet Fuel Project, which we carry out in close contact with scientists. With this project we support, we aim to be one of the few global companies that can use sustainable aviation fuel produced without polluting natural resources and without competing with agricultural activities.
LACP 2022 Spotlight Awards Global Communications Competition- Gold Award
In 2022, as a result of the evaluation made by the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP), our 2021 Sustainability Report was received the Gold Award.

APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) and Simplifyling, the Highest Degree in Health Safety
As a result of our compliance with Health Safety Standards and our rigorous hygiene measures, we were assessed at Diamond Standard – the highest level possible – by the APEX/SimpliFlying partnership. Fewer than 10 airlines achieved Diamond-level standards.
The Design Air - Design Airline of the Year, Europe 2021
With the new airport’s customer touch points (lounges, check-in islands, ticket service offices, etc.) and with in- flight experience designs (new Business and Economy Class cabin design and in-flight products), we were selected as the “Best Designed Airline Europe 2021” at the TheDesignAir awards, which recognize creativity and innovation.
Fast Company Customer Experience Awards - Airline Industry First Place
Fast Company magazine, together with Turkcell Global Bilgi, launched a customer experience survey in 2020. With a total of 6,319 people participating in the survey and with 15,130 brands discussed, the best of the sector in each sector is selected. In our field, we once again ranked first in this survey.
APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) - Five Star Global Airline
Airline assessments for 2020 were announced by APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) at the awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on September 9, 2019. Turkish Airlines was rated a “Five Star Global Airline” by APEX, the third consecutive year that we have received this designation. The ratings are determined solely through passenger feedback submitted through the TripIt application. The 2020 ratings included passenger feedback from more than one million flights on nearly 600 airlines worldwide between July 2018 and June 2019. The TripIt app is the top-rated travel organization app.
Crystal Apple 2020 - TK1919 Historical Journey: Crystal and Silver Awards
As the Turkish Airlines family, we commemorated the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on April 23, 1920 (National Sovereignty and Children’s Day) with a flight on a historic route: during this flight, our pilots unfurled the world’s largest flag in the sky. Approximately 10 million people requested and received souvenir tickets for the flight. Together with our passengers, we once again carried out a “Dedicatory Flight with the Most Passengers in the World” to Samsun, with the TK1919 flight on May 19 (Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day). Our Historical Journey was recognized with Crystal and Silver awards at the Crystal Apple Awards.
Crystal Apple 2020 - TK1920 World’s Biggest Flag in the Skies: Silver and Bronze Awards
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, we carried out one of the most meaningful flights in our history. Taking place on April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, we drew the world’s largest flag over our country – with its crescent moon and star – during a two-hour flight.
Under the command of Captain Öner Samyel and Captain Murat Gülkanat, at 09.40, the TC-JJF registered Boeing 777-300(ER) aircraft took off from Esenboğa Airport with the flight number TK1920.
Numerous people avidly followed the flight via Flightradar24, the live air traffic site with flight tracking data. As well, the flight garnered wide press coverage and high engagement across all social media platforms; updates were shared by hundreds of thousands of social media users and the flight was a globally trending topic on Twitter.
This flight gained Turkish Airlines a Silver and a Bronze award at the Crystal Apple Awards. The Crystal Apple awards, an annual event organized by the Association of Advertisers, recognizes the successful work of individuals and institutions throughout the advertising industry.

The Crystal Apple is among the most prestigious award ceremonies held in Türkiye for the advertising industry. The Crystal Apple Awards, an annual event organized by the Association of Advertisers, recognizes the successful work of individuals and institutions throughout the advertising industry. As Turkish Airlines, we were recognized with a Bronze award in the Service category for the project Brand Flying on social media in the No Flights Period.

As the Turkish Airlines family, we unfurled the World's Largest Flag to the sky on the 100th anniversary of April 23. Approximately 10 million people requested and received souvenir tickets for Flight TK1919 and, together with our passengers, we once again carried out a “Dedicatory Flight with the Most Passengers in the World” to Samsun on May 19 (Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day). The Turkish Airlines TK1919 Historical Journey was recognized with the 11th Term Champion award in the Instachamp competition, held in partnership with MediaCat and Instagram Türkiye. In this competition, the marketing communication performance of advertisements on Instagram at certain date intervals is evaluated and rewarded.
Fast Company - Experience Leaders Award
In surveys conducted by Fast Company to assess the maturity level of customer experience from the customer’s perspective, several Turkish brands were selected as the Best of 15 Sectors in Customer Experience. As Turkish Airlines, we were deemed worthy of the Experience Leaders award in the aviation sector.

TheDesignAir Awards 2019 - Europe’s Leading Design Airline 2019
At TheDesignAir awards, Turkish Airlines was selected as the “Best Design Airline Europe 2019” in recognition of our new airport customer touch points (lounges, check-in islands, ticketing offices, etc.) and in-flight experience designs (Dreamliner B787-9 Business and Economy Class and in-flight products). TheDesignAir awards recognize creativity and innovation.
ALFA Awards 2019 - Turkish Airlines named 'Customer Brand' of the Year
At the ALFA Awards Ceremony in 2019, Turkish Airlines was named the “Customer Brand” of the year. This award is presented to the brands that manage the best customer experience and thus establish a sustainable relationship with their customers, as evaluated by a jury of consumers.
Travel Plus Awards - Awards for the Versace Amenity Kit, Kültür Co. Relax Set and Kangal Children’s Kit
The annual Travel Plus event recognizes outstanding travel sets and amenities kits distributed by global-scale airline companies. On April 7, the Travel Plus 2019 awards were announced: Turkish Airlines received three awards in total for our Versace Amenity Kit, the Kültür Inc. Relax Set and the Kangal Children’s Kit.
17th Golden Spider Awards - Best Mobile Application
Turkish Airlines received the “Best Mobile Application” award, presented in this category for the first time by Altın Spider. Facilitating the travel lives of our users, we are proud and excited that our mobile application is the first winner of such a meaningful award! We continue to develop this mobile application, the first step into the comfort of travel for our passengers.

Turkish Airlines won the 'Silver' award in the field of interactive kiosks with our 'Flight Tracker' application, which allows us to track our planes on a world map with real-time data and effectively displays our wide flight network.

In addition to being named "Europe's Best Airline" for six consecutive years, Turkish Airlines has also been awarded by the American Communication Professionals League for our achievements in communication and public relations.
LIMA International Licensing Awards - “Best Undergraduate Promotion” Award with Batman v. Superman.
The winners of the 2017 LIMA International Licensing Awards were announced at the Licensing Expo's opening night in Las Vegas on May 23. At the event, where 125 out of 461 exhibitors from 10 countries were nominated, LIMA President Charles Riotto described this year's winners as “first-class licensing programs and products from the global industry”. We were also deemed worthy of the "Best License Promotion" award for our ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ movie promotion, a collaboration with Warner Bros.

Epica Awards - Gold Award for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” Commercial
Turkish Airlines won a gold award in the Product and Product Placement category at Epica, one of the most important advertising competitions in the world, with our 'Batman v. Superman' ad campaign. In the ‘Superman’ advertising campaign, we showed up as a real airline company in the universe of superheroes. The campaign reached 30 million YouTube viewers in addition to 125 million views worldwide.
The global Epica Awards held since 1987, is considered prestigious worldwide, as it is the only competition in the advertising field with a jury comprised of journalists with marketing and communication expertise.
