Special meal service

Special meals are available for infants and children, as well as for passengers who have specific dietary requirements due to health conditions or religious beliefs. All meals are carefully prepared using fresh, natural ingredients that add flavor to your flight.

General information

  • Special meal requests can be made up to 24 hours prior to the flight via our website, mobile app, call center, or sales offices.
  • Miles&Smiles members can manage special meal preferences through their Miles&Smiles accounts. If Miles&Smiles members have opted for special meals in the “Meal Preference” section of their profile, the selected menu will be served, although this may vary depending on the aircraft and/or operational reasons.
  • As we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens on the aircraft, we cannot accept responsibility for any allergic reactions. When booking their flight, passengers with allergies to specific foods can select a suitable special meal from the options available.
  • The meals served on Turkish Airlines’ flights are prepared in accordance with Islamic dietary laws.
  • Menu items offered for the special meal service may vary between Economy and Business Class.

Menú para diabéticos (DBML)




Preparado para pasajeros con diabetes (niveles altos de azúcar). Las comidas se sirven con muy poco azúcar y cantidades equilibradas de proteínas, grasas, fibra e hidratos de carbono complejos.

No incluye alimentos fritos. Contiene todos o algunos de los siguientes ingredientes: carne y productos lácteos sin grasa, carne de ave sin piel, productos de pescado y marisco, verduras y fruta. Se sirve con pan integral y otros productos de cereales.

Menú sin gluten (GFML)




La comida no contiene alimentos con gluten. Sin embargo, puede contener trazas de gluten. No es preferible para pasajeros con alergias al trigo.
Como GFML; se sirve carne, pescado, marisco, carne de ave, fruta, verdura, arroz, maíz, patatas, batatas, avena sin gluten, trigo sarraceno, huevo, productos lácteos, legumbres, quinoa, linaza, semillas de girasol, aceites, grasas, productos con certificado sin gluten.

Menú Kosher (KSML)




Los alimentos se preparan según los estándares kosher.

Nuestra comida, que se prepara de acuerdo con la cocina kosher, se sella dos veces después del empaquetado.

Menú jain vegetariano (VJML)




Se prepara con una variedad de salsas y especias indias para nuestros viajeros vegetarianos que quieren cumplir reglas estrictas de acuerdo con los principios del jainismo.

No contiene carne de ave, carne, pescado, marisco, huevos, productos lácteos, verduras de raíz ni verduras de la familia de la cebolla. Contiene todos o algunos de los siguientes ingredientes: fruta, verduras, especias, tofu, legumbres, arroz y cereales.

Menú vegetariano asiático (AVML)




Preparado con una variedad de salsas y especias indias para nuestros viajeros vegetarianos que prefieren comidas vegetarianas de estilo indio.

No contiene ningún tipo de carne y productos cárnicos, pescado, marisco, huevos ni gelatina de origen animal. Contiene todos o algunos de los siguientes ingredientes: verduras, fruta fresca, frutos secos, legumbres, leche y productos lácteos, tofu y cereales.

Hindu Non-Vegetarian Meal (HNML)




Available for passengers who follow Hindu dietary principles. These Indian-influenced meals are non-vegetarian and may contain lamb, chicken, fish, grains, eggs, milk and dairy products. Meals do not contain veal, beef or beef by-products, or raw/smoked fish.

Menú vegano (VGML)




Preparado para pasajeros que no consumen alimentos que contienen productos de origen animal.

No contiene productos animales (carne y derivados animales, como miel, huevos, productos lácteos, pescado y carne de ave). Contiene todos o algunos de los siguientes ingredientes: alimentos con alto contenido en proteínas como lentejas, tofu, judías, verduras, fruta fresca y deshidratada y frutos secos, ricos en hierro y calcio.

Menú para bebés (BBML)




Se ofrece comida para bebés en frascos de vidrio a los pasajeros bebés menores de dos años. 

*Puede llevar la papilla infantil líquida o sólida a la que su bebé está acostumbrado en recipientes de hasta 100 ml.

No contiene carne con hueso, comidas especiadas, trigo, gluten, pescado, huevos, fruta ácida ni carne de vacuno. Contiene todos o algunos de los siguientes ingredientes o elementos: fruta, verduras, puré de carne, postre.

Menú infantil (CHML)




Preparado y servido de acuerdo con las necesidades nutricionales de los niños de entre 2 y 12 años.

No contiene pescado ni carnes con hueso, fruta deshidratada, frutos secos, semillas, comidas especiadas, aderezos, salsas ni caramelos. Contiene todos o algunos de los siguientes ingredientes o elementos: zanahoria rallada, queso, galletas saladas, aperitivos, fruta fresca y zumo de frutas.

Information for passengers with nut or peanut allergies

Although serious allergic reactions are rare on our flights, if you do have an allergy to a specific food (e.g., nuts or peanuts), please consult your doctor before traveling to assess the risks of travel. If you have an allergic reaction to nuts, peanuts, or similar dried fruits consumed near you, be sure to bring your doctor's report in your cabin baggage, along with a prescription epinephrine/adrenaline auto-injector and any other medications you may require. You must have your auto-injector prescription and doctor's report in order to pass through airport security checkpoints without problems and to verify precautions taken before the flight. Passengers with severe nut or peanut allergies may not be permitted on the aircraft for flight safety reasons if they do not have a doctor's report.

If you have a specific allergy to foods such as nuts or peanuts, it is important to provide our cabin crew with detailed information about your allergy in advance; this is so that they can assist you in the event of a potential emergency that requires immediate intervention, such as a severe allergic reaction. When boarding the aircraft, please show the cabin crew your cabin bag containing medications, as well as your doctor's note indicating what actions to take in an emergency. Although cabin crew members have first aid training, if your allergy is severe, it is highly recommended that you travel with a companion who can assist you quickly and safely during the flight.

Complimentary snacks served onboard may include nuts or seeds, including peanuts or pistachios. Passengers with nut allergies can request an allergen-free menu via our sales channels up to 48 hours prior to the flight. Except for certain flights, this menu will be served only to passengers who have notified us of their allergy; other inflight menus will not be changed. While precautions are taken on our flights, we cannot guarantee that other passengers are not carrying items containing these nuts; particles/dust from these items may be distributed throughout the aircraft via the ventilation system. Accordingly, we cannot accept responsibility for any allergic reactions.
