Economy Class passengers on flights with layovers exceeding 12 hours and Business Class passengers with layovers exceeding nine hours can take advantage of complimentary hotel services only if the stopover time is the shortest one available for the relevant route. If a shorter layover flight is available, hotel services are not applicable, even if that flight is full. Since only flights for your selected date are listed on the flight search screen, shorter layover options may be available in the early hours of the following day. For example, if you are searching for a ticket from Dubai to New York (JFK) on October 31, the last Dubai to Istanbul flight on October 31 and the Istanbul to New York flight on November 1 may be displayed together. However, if you select the Dubai–Istanbul flight departing at 2:50 AM on November 1, you can connect to the Istanbul–New York flight departing that same morning. In this case, an alternative flight with a shorter connection time is available, you are not eligible for the complimentary hotel service.
