That’s why there’s no need for you to worry whether the weight and size of the baggage that will be carried in cabin and/or cargo area will exceed the baggage allowance. *Free baggage allowance on domestic flights with AnadoluJet is 15 kg for adult passengers and 10 kg for infant passengers.

Excess baggage fee exception circumstances

  • The baggage fee on our TRNC flights is TRY 4 try for every 1 KG for passengers who benefit from the discount of soldiers and students belonging to the Turkish Peace Force serving in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Make purchases at our Sales Offices in order to benefit from these discounts. 
  • Excess baggage service fees offered on our domestic direct flights and our direct flights may differ.

Baggage concept

The right to piece or weight allowance is applied in accordance with the Turkish Airlines flight destinations. The excess baggage fee at a destination is also determined based on the registered baggage concept. You can review the destinations in which piece baggage concept is applied on the registered baggage page or in the fare rules field specified on your flight.

Joint flights and most significant carrier (MSC)

  • The airline's baggage rules that apply on international flights operated jointly with another airline is decided by in accordance with the rules set by IATA (International Air Transport Association). The most significant carrier (MSC) is the airline that flies the longest overall. 
  • The excess baggage fee on joint flights is varied between USD 340-450 USD. To pay the required amount, you can apply to our Sales Offices.

Stopover flights

  • Stopover; flights consisting of connected flights, with a waiting time of 24 hours or more between two connecting flights. 
  • Stopover flights have an additional excess baggage fee payment that varies between 10-180 USD. Apply to our Sales Offices to find out the exact payment.

Excess baggage consideration 

  • You can find the binding legal conditions concerning your baggage on the General Conditions of Carriage and baggage Excess Baggage Terms and Conditions pages. 
  • You must ensure that your free baggage allowance is shown on the ticket prior to the flight. 
  • Pieces included on flights within the piece concept cannot exceed a maximum of 23 KG. There will be an extra charge of USD 80 for baggage that exceeds 23 KG. 
  • Regardless of the weight and piece concept, a single piece of baggage cannot exceed 32 KG. Baggage that exceeds 32 KG must be divided and carried in two or more pieces. 
  • Student discounts are not applicable to excess baggage fees on AnadoluJet flights.
