Carrying diving equipment on flights

Diving equipment consists of diving suit, buoyancy vest (BC), mask, fins, underwater flashlight, knife, snorkel, harpoon, diving socks, diving cylinder and regulator. 

  • Diving cylinders shall be empty. The meter shall read zero. 
  • The air in buoyancy vest shall be emptied. 
  • Equipment such as underwater flashlight (diving lamp) and soldering iron can be carried as hand baggage or checked baggage. In order to prevent an unexpected situation during flight, the heat generating section or power source of the equipment shall be separated, and packaged to restrict activation. The removed batteries shall be protected against short circuit. 
  • The harpoon shall not be set and its tips shall be packed separately. 
  • It is accepted with their special cases or as appropriately packaged. 
  • Diving equipment transportation service is charged for domestic flights and we carry your 1 diving equipment for 500 TRY.
  • Special baggage fee is applied in international flights. 
  • It is mandatory to make reservation entry. 
  • As some aircraft types in our fleet are not suitable for carrying the cargo of these sizes, do not forget to inform the related personnel during reservation. Equipment not in the appropriate sizes are carried on cargo flights.

Valid until December 31, 2025: For trips departing from England and arriving in Malta (MLA), Amman (AMM), Male (MLE), Seychelles (SEZ), Cape Town (CPT), Durban (DUR), Alexandria (HBE), Manila (MNL), Cebu (CEB), Jakarta (CGK), Bangkok (BKK), Phuket (HKT), Dar Es Salaam (DAR), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Moputo (MPM) and returning from these trips, we transport one diving suit within the checked baggage allowance applicable to your ticket. In case of transportation of more equipment, Special fees for sports equipment apply.

A diving equipment set includes a wetsuit, fins, one mask, one empty scuba tank (oxygen cylinder), scuba regulator, tank harness, tank pressure gauge, balance jacket (BCD jacket), diving light, one snorkel, knife, harpoon and one life jacket.”
